Our History

Bushmount Nursing Home is situated in the heart of Clonakilty town on six acres of mature gardens with sweeping lawns and stately trees. Bushmount Nursing Home was initially opened in 1956 by the Sisters of Charity of St Paul as a home for retired priests.Sean and Anne took over the ownership of the Nursing home on April 1st, 2009 and renamed it Bushmount Nursing Home. Bushmount has been an integral part of Clonakilty for over 50 years.

Our Vision

Our vision is to ensure the provision of the highest standard of holistic care and treatment to persons who can no longer live at home. We endeavour to furnish an environment, which aims to replicate the resident’s home life. We strongly believe in providing a high standard of emotional and person centred care which underpins everything we do.
